Refurbished iphone - Now with removable battery *Not recommended*

Now you can replace your Refurbished iphone or new iPhone’s battery on your own. Though possible it appears to be a tough surgical procedure and if you are willing to perform this operation at your own risk the guys over at Gear Live have posted a video showing how you can replace your very own iPhone battery.

Apple will repair your iPhone for a service fee of $79, plus $6.95 shipping with the caveat that service may not be available if your iPhone has been damaged due to accident or abuse therefore when you open up the iPhone, there’s a chance of something going wrong, so you could end up paying a lot more than it would have cost you to just get the battery from Apple in the first place.

So the question is how long will the iphone batteries last? iphone owners hope the batteries last long enough that you won’t be doing this very often, but the phones are still pretty new, so we haven’t really found out yet.

The video shows that it is beyond the average user to perform this kind of surgery sucessfully therefore the refurbiphone blog does not recommend this as a try it at home kindof stuff!
